CONDITIONS
The self drive rate incorporates insurance covering accident damage and loss over Rs. 25,000/=, provided this has been reported to the nearest police station and a police report acceptable for insurance is obtained. However, in such a case the deposit of Rs. 25,000/= will not be refunded. A refundable deposit of Rs. 25,000/= is required as security for the safe return of the car in the same condition it was delivered.
Using vehicles in breach of the laws, by driving at excessive speed , under the influence of alcohol or drugs, for any illegal purpose or for driving in wild life sanctuaries or on any other jungle tracks is prohibited. Insurance is invalidated by any breach of restrictions.
A National Licence or International Driving Permit requires endorsement for driving in Sri Lanka. This has to be applied for in person on a Government working day in Colombo, not on Saturday or public holidays.
Driver's minimum age 25, maximum age 65.
Conditions
- Rates are subject to a Government Value Added Tax (15% at time of printing).
- Rates are liable to alteration without notice with changes in fuel prices and Government taxes.
- Personal accident insurance is obtainable on request, but is better obtained in your home country.
