Pakistan tour for 9 nights / 10 days

Day 01: colombo \ karachi

Assistance upon arrival at jinnah international airport karachi, transfer to hotel in an air-conditioned transport with an english speaking escort. Overnight stay in karachi.
 
Day 02: karachi \ islamabad \ besham

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to airport for flight to islamabad,  meet and greet upon arrival at islamabad onward drive to besham.  En route visit taxila which is famous for its museum and sites of the ancient cities of the gandhara civilization from 600 bc to 600 ad., after arrival check-in hotel for overnight stay.

Day 03: besham \ gilgit

After breakfast departure to gilgit, a little stay at chilas for lunch, after lunch drive to gilgit, upon arrival check-in hotel, visit around the city, back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 04: gilgit \ karimabad (hunza)

Breakfast at the hotel, visit kargah buddah and gilgit bazaar onward drive to karimabad, after arriving hunza check-in hotel, visit altit fort and walk in the bazaar, back to hotel in the evening for overnight stay.

Day 05: karimabad (hunza)

After breakfast visit baltit fort in the afternoon excursion to nagar valley and hopar glacier on jeeps. Back to hotel in evening for overnight stay.

Day 06: karimabad \ chilas

After breakfast departure to chilas, a short stay in gilgit for lunch, after lunch continue drive to chilas, en route visit rock carvings, evening arrival, overnight stay in chilas.

Day 07: chilas \ swat

After breakfast departure to swat, stay for lunch at besham. After lunch continue drive to swat, one of the most picturesque valleys famous for its tranquility, greenery and orchards which attracted almost every invader & the buddhists who stayed there for a long period. Arrival saidu, the administrative capital of swat. Check-in hotel, visit mingora bazaar back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 08: swat \ peshawar

After breakfast check-out the hotel and visit butkara site an ancient buddhist pilgrimage centre from 3rd century bc. Onward drive to peshawar, en route visit takht-e-bhai monastery of 1st century. Arrival in the late afternoon visit peshawar city which includes qissa khawani bazaar with magnificent mahabat khan mosque from the moghal period. Overnight stay in peshawar.

Day 09: peshawar \ lahore

After breakfast check-out the hotel visit peshawar museum onward drive to lahore. Arrival in the evening, check-in hotel for overnight stay.

Day 10: lahore \ karachi \ departure

After breakfast city tour of the second largest city of pakistan famous for its monuments from the mughal period, visit lahore museum, badshahi mosque the second largest mosque in pakistan and the fort, late afternoon check-out the hotel and transfer to airport for flight to karachi. Take connecting flight from there to colombo

Weather
karachi: hot, lahore / islamabad: pleasant, gilgit/hunza: cold.

Clothing
comfortable clothes, no special advice. However, shorts and skirts are not permitted when visiting mosques. Clients will have to be properly dressed however, especially in peshawar. ladies may be wise to take a scarf in the event they have to cover their heads when visiting mosques etc.

Meal costs
depends on the type of food and the restaurant, and can vary from us$10 – 15 in the hotels.
