Bunty - MORE AFFECTIONATELY Known as" Big Daddy B" is one of the pioneer DJ's of Sri Lanka. He has been in the forefront of the entertainment industry since 1987, with his career commencing at the Colombo's Hilton's BLUE ELEPHANT discotheque as their first local resident DJ.He then Moved on to the Taj group of hotels as the resident DJ AT MY KIND OF PLACE.He was recently featured at ZANZIBAR a local club that is very popular with young audiences,as the resident jock He has expanded his expertise in Radio, Event management and compereing at both locally and internationally marketed venues and events. Bunty ventured overseas to play at Marco Polo - Dubai, Meridian, Fujariah and more up market night clubs in Dubai.
On a recent interview he was asked if his age is any criteria to handling teen events all he had to say was "from where do u come up with these theories"no event is too small or too big fr the guy who says I have been listening to music all my life since I was a young teen and says I have the best job in the world.
Bunty's DJ’ing career has been fast paced from the start, He was recognized for his technical ability and unique way of blending, chopping, cutting tunes and milking to work the crowd into a frenzy. His lively and friendly attitude whilst playing, adds to the performance. He was also the recipient of an award given by a local news paper as best DJ in 1997.
There is probably not a single venue or dance floor in Sri Lanka from 1987 till now to be found that didn't' experience his sets in their full glory he still carries on his proud tradition of delivering the freshest, funkiest, most mind-blowing sets available to both "dance-floor monkeys" and club goers, with some occasional sets being played outside the borders on invites only!!!
Speaking to him recently he went on to say that He plays commercial house, funky house and retro to name but a few but specializes in Funky House and Uplifting House. Though you will most probably find music from every era imaginable in his music box!!
He can also change his style of music to suit any event, and is actively involved in Mobile Disco's as well. For almost 25 years,he has been entertaining people at weddings, birthday parties and other social gatherings. He also gets booked on a regular basis to play major events, intro sets for major gatherings, and year end functions for a couple of s/l's biggest corporate companies.
His personality combined with his expert DJ skills and the ability to relate to wide international audiences makes him a truly international DJ with outstanding talents.
